About Cailin

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, NY license #092803) providing telehealth services across New York State.

I earned my Master of Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2018, and since then have worked with clients of all ages and stages of life. I spent the first several years of my career working in a hospital setting supporting patients facing serious and complex medical conditions, and walking alongside patients and families through end of life care and hospice transitions. I then worked as a psychotherapist at a group practice working with teens and adults before opening up my own practice. A passion for trauma work led me to complete EMDR training in 2022 with an EMDRIA-approved provider, followed by training in the Flash Technique.

I continue to invest in my professional development through attending trainings, participating in peer consultation, reading research, and listening to podcasts—I love Therapy Chat with Laura Reagan, LCSW and Ester Perel's podcasts! Therapy is a life long learning process, and investing in my professional development helps me stay up to date with the latest evidence based approaches and keeps my skills fresh.

About Juniper

During my undergraduate studies, I conducted an independent study on animal-assisted therapy for the treatment of trauma, and have had a passion for it ever since. Animals are so intuitive and offer unconditional love—they can be some of our strongest healthy attachments in life.

Juniper joined our family as a puppy in 2020 with the hopes that she would one day pass her therapy dog test and join me at work. We worked hard in training school, completing lots of obedience training and even earning an AKC Advanced Trick Dog title, and in the Fall of 2023 Juniper completed her Therapy Dog International training and certification. We continue to attend obedience classes for fun and continued learning.

Juni likes to lay next to clients on the couch, and often in your lap—despite being about 70lbs she thinks that she’s small! She’s also just as happy to lay on the floor by your feet. Her presence is completely optional and something we’ll discuss before we meet.
